Lock it in, Eddie
Up to now, the upcoming adventure has really just been training for some kind of goal. The whole 'awesome overseas trip and experience that goes with it' hadn't really registered. It could've been 3 weeks spent on an exercise bike for all the joy it was generating.
Today, tickets have been booked and I am incredibly excited. It's as if the whole thing just became tangible.
(The fact that we are going to spend a few days in Beijing, Moscow, London and Singapore as part of the trip probably helped to take the edge of the '1300 km bike ride' side of things but still...)
I almost feel like going to the gym again today, as if the extra training will get me there faster. It's funny how the mind works.
